UK’s Biggest Meat Market To Sell Vegan Alternatives In 800-Year First
Moving Mountains is set to be the first brand to provide vegan burgers at London’s historical Smithfield Market.
Meat supplier P.J. Martinelli will now sell the plant-based burger at the 800-year-old market, ending a long tradition of only animal products being available.
“This partnership with P.J. Martinelli at Smithfield Market is a momentous step for the plant-based movement” said the founder of Moving Mountains Simeon Van der Molen.
“Moving Mountains is proud to be leading this change and we believe that one day only plant-based meat will be the best-selling product at this historic meat market.”
“Our company always provides the widest choice and we see this as a natural addition to our product range” said Paul Martinelli, managing director of P.J. Martinelli.
