Vegan Company Sends Free Ice Cream To COVID-19 Community Heroes
Eclipse Foods — which is based in San Francisco — is asking local residents to nominate people who have gone the extra mile to help during the outbreak.
The company is then choosing a number of nominees each week to receive a free ice cream care package.
“Inspired By Ordinary People”
“We’re inspired by ordinary people stepping up to do extraordinary things for others in a time of great need” said Laura Cox, head of marketing at Eclipse.
“We were hearing more and more stories about people going above and beyond to help friends, family, and complete strangers in their communities—truly inspiring stories of bravery and generosity.”
“You can really feel how much these nominees mean to them and how appreciative they are. It’s quite moving.”

Eclipse Vegan Ice Cream
The dairy-free ice cream company claims to be the first to make “plant-based ice cream that is indistinguishable from dairy ice cream.”
“Creamier than ice cream, cheesier than cheese, milkier than milk–products so good even cows are jealous” states the brand on its website.
“It’s not a dairy alternative, it’s a dairy sequel.”
