Vegan Cream Debuts At Same Price As Dairy Alternatives
Dairy-based food giant Elmlea has introduced two new vegan cream alternatives to its range.
Shoppers can now enjoy plant-based single cream at 95p for 270ml and double cream at £1.10 for 270ml — the same prices as the dairy versions from Elmlea.
The two new products — called Elmlea PLANT — are made from a Faba bean base and plant oils. Both are free from artificial flavors and preservatives.
Elmlea PLANT products are available now at Sainsbury’s and Asda stores in the UK.

Vegan Dairy Alternatives
As the rise of plant-based milks has continued at an exciting rate this year, so too has the interest in additional vegan dairy alternatives.
Earlier in 2019, buttery spread giant Flora removed all animal products from its entire range.
“People now care more about what goes into the products they are feeding themselves and their families” said a Flora spokesperson of the move.
“With a great new recipe making Flora more delicious than ever, our new 100% plant goodness range can be enjoyed by the whole family.”
