Vegan Happy Meals Coming Soon To McDonalds
Approved by The Vegan Society, the Veggie Dippers are made from a combination of rice, red pepper, split peas, and sun-dried tomato pesto, with a crispy breadcrumb coating.
The new meat-free Happy Meal will cost £2.99 and includes two Veggie Dippers, a side dish and a drink. Customers can enjoy a larger meal with four Veggie Dippers, fries, and a drink for £4.99. The Dippers can also be purchased separately as a bag of four for £3.29.
The fast-food giant has confirmed “that both the ingredients and cooking method have been certified by The Vegan Society, meaning there is no risk of cross contamination.”

Vegan At McDonalds
McDonalds first launched a vegetarian Happy Meal earlier this year, with the introduction of the Veggie Wrap — which is made with red pepper and pesto goujons.
“In the last 12 months we’ve seen an 80 percent uplift in customers ordering vegetarian options at McDonald’s” said Thomas O’Neill, Head of Food Marketing at McDonald’s UK & Ireland.
“So it is time for the brand famous for the dippable McNugget to launch a dippable option for our vegetarian, vegan and flexitarian customers.”
