Vegan JUST Egg To Launch Nationwide Across Canada
Plant-based egg alternative JUST Egg is set to launch across Canada later this year.
The mung bean-based product from Eat JUST, Inc. will be on sale at more than 100 Whole Foods Markets and Walmart stores throughout Ottawa, Toronto, Victoria, and Vancouver.
The company has revealed that JUST Egg will be rebranded as JUST Plant Egg for the Canadian market, with the ready-made folded omelette being the first product available.
The plant-based omelette will be sold in packs of four in the frozen aisle of participating retailers.
“I’m so proud to announce this milestone in Canada,” said Josh Tetrick, co-founder and CEO of Eat JUST, Inc.
“We’re working hard to make our products available in as many places as possible and launching in Canada, where demand for plant-based proteins is strong and growing, brings us one step closer to that goal.”

The Plant Egg omelette is the latest release from the brand, and can be prepared easily in the toaster. Having launched in the US earlier this year, the omelette has since become a best-seller in the frozen breakfast entrée category.
The Canadian launch comes shortly after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced a $100 million investment in the country’s plant-based protein industry.
“As people around the world start eating more plant-based products, we have an opportunity to bring together Canadian innovation and Canadian crops,” said Trudeau.
