Beyond Meat Launches Limited-Edition Vegan Burgers For $1.60
Vegan food company Beyond Meat is preparing to launch an affordable limited-edition version of its Beyond Burger — the Cookout Classic.
The 10-pack of meat-free burgers will be available from June 22 at Walmart, Target, and a selection of other retailers in the US.
“Accessible To All Consumers”
“With summer grilling season underway, we are pleased to launch Cookout Classic value packs nationwide at our most affordable price point to date,” said Ethan Brown, Founder and CEO of Beyond Meat, in an email to Raise Vegan.
“This forward-looking pricing represents an important milestone along our journey to make Beyond Meat more accessible to all consumers.”
With a suggested retail price of $15.99, each burger in the pack will cost $1.60.
Cookout Classic burgers are free from soy, gluten, and GMOs, and come in fully recyclable cardboard packaging.

The new Cookout Classic burgers will be stocked in the frozen meat aisles of participating retailers, and will be available through to mid-August, or as long as stocks last.
The affordable pricing is one of a number of initiatives by Beyond Meat to expand accessibility. The brand will be launching a direct-to-consumer website later this year, in addition to offering savings on existing products.
The plant-based company recently announced the expansion of operations into Europe — a move that it suggested would help to push costs down.
