Costa Coffee To Add Oat Milk As Vegan Alternative
Global coffee chain Costa Coffee is rumored to be adding oat milk to the menu in the UK as of next month.
An employee of the coffee company is said to have leaked the news, which was then shared on Instagram.
Costa — which operates in 32 different countries — already offers customers soy, almond, and coconut milk as an alternative to cow’s milk.
The surcharge on soy milk was dropped last year, but customers still pay more for almond and coconut.

Costa Coffee Vegan Milks
The coffee company has been offering soy milk for a number of years, and introduced coconut milk two years ago. The addition of almond milk came in 2019 due to the popularity of the existing plant-based options.
“The next logical step”
“We know our customers want more choice when it comes to coffee customization and have witnessed a growing demand for ‘free-from’ and vegan options,” said Russell Braterman, innovations director at Costa Coffee, of the decision to add almond milk.
“Given the popularity of the Coconut alternative drink, which we introduced last year, our Lactofree and Almond options are the next logical step.”
“We can now cater to our customers unique preferences, without compromising on the great taste they love.”
