Global Demand For Oat Milk Predicted To Double As Cow's Milk Growth Slows

Worldwide demand for oat milk is predicted to almost double over the next seven years as more people embrace plant-based eating.

Analysts have estimated that the global oat drinks market — which was worth $372.5 million at the end of 2019 — will be valued at $698.8 million by the end of 2027.

Cow’s milk sales in North America and Europe are slowing alongside the growth of the oat milk market.

The Canadian Dairy Information Centre has revealed that “the per capita fluid milk consumption has slumped from 79.8 litres in 2008 to 65.2 litres in 2017 in the US.”

Similar drops in dairy sales have been observed in Canada and Mexico, with slightly less dramatic decreases seen in Germany, France, and other European countries.
