First Rule Of Pregnancy Fit Club?

New York: A new pregnancy gym’s members all have one thing in common, they’re all pregnant or have newborns, and this new gym of workout center, the ‘Pregnancy Fit Club’ aims to help women who are intimidated stay or get healthy during those months of having children. 

Mothers, Carolina Gunnarsson, and Joanie Johnson created the new Pregnancy Fit Club, after seeing a much-needed gap in the market and being afraid to exercise during their own pregnancies.

Gunnarsson explained to WTOP, that she had gained more weight than planned simply because she didn’t have a safe space to work out during pregnancy.

“Coming out of this pregnancy, I was in better shape than I have been in my entire life,” she said. “I was doing classes up until the day I gave birth, and feeling great with no pain.” referring to how working out during her third pregnancy was a world of difference to her first two. 

Fitness trainers at Pregnancy Fit Club have not only fitness experience but specialized pregnancy care related to working out also, the staff includes doulas, childbirth educators, and prenatal nutritionists, including a lactation consultant for after you have your baby. 

“Prenatal certification for trainers is not enough,” Johnson said. “We’re really training women to move at a functional level and retraining their breathing mechanism and the way they’re activating their core.”
