IKEA to Launch Soft Serve Vegan Ice Cream Across Europe
Now you can enjoy a smooth, delicious and airy soft serve vegan ice cream at the in-store bistros of IKEA across European locations! The good news is that the Swedish furniture giant has to gear up to offer the vegan soft-serve since last year, and finally the time has come.

Ikea Will Launch Soft Serve Vegan Ice Cream Across its Europe Stores
According to an official statement by IKEA Food Services AB’s Commercial manager, Sandra Lindh, the company has been working with suppliers in the past few months to craft the perfect texture and taste for the upcoming plant-based offering. “Our ambition was to create a plant-based treat that is as soft, airy and delicious as our popular dairy-based soft ice,” she said, adding, “It’s an easy, affordable and delicious treat for customers that either need or want to skip dairy products and prefer plant-based food options.”
The Swedish furniture company teased the launch of something similar to this soft-serve alongside the traditional dairy-based counterpart last year. The new IKEA soft serve vegan ice cream will be made with strawberry puree and to make it even more appealing, “this new, smooth soft ice has almost half the carbon footprint compared to its dairy-based friend.” According to Sandra Lindh, the new product is easy and affordable, and the
The ice-cream formulation is currently in progress and is being created using plant-derived ingredients like soy and oats. IKEA also launched a vegan hot dog last year as a trial and reportedly sold 5 million units of the plant-based goodness.
According to the official statement, IKEA hopes to, “create a better everyday life,” and its food division wants to, “inspire people to a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle” with their delicious vegan options. The product is set to be released in April.
