Copper Branch Becomes the Largest Plant-Based Restaurant Chain, 50th Location Set to Open

Copper Branch, a plant-based restaurant chain born in Montreal, Canada will take the lead as the largest vegan restaurant chain following the opening of their 50th restaurant location in April. The chain has even expanded as far as into the United States and Western Europe, all with great success. Keep reading to learn more about Copper Branch, you’ll wish that you knew about them earlier.

Copper Branch is a large 100% vegan casual restaurant chain where you can find a wide range of “global” recipes that are good for the mind, body, and soul. Founded in 2014, they have developed a very impressive, guilt-free menu where the dishes are nearly all certified organic and non-GMO. On their menu, you can find items such as bowls, burgers, sandwiches, and all-day breakfast. As seen on their Instagram account, their waffles look as if they’re the absolute best.

By this coming Earth Day (April 22nd), the chain will also be officially celebrating hitting the 50-store mark. 15 new Copper Branch locations are to be opened in North America which is what will push them to the number-one spot of being the largest vegan chain by location. Restaurants will soon be showing up in locations including New York City (Greenwich Village/SOHO), Toronto (2 new locations), and Vancouver. Currently, for those in the states, the original US location is open for business in Ft. Lauderdale.

Not only is Copper Branch a hub of a delicious variety of food, but they are interested in both sustainability and changing the public perception of vegan food. According to their recent press release on the new location, CEO Rio Infantino states, “we want to continue to change the way plant-based foods are perceived globally and make chef-inspired flavors accessible while contributing to the protection of our planet and ecosystems through incredible initiatives like with Rainforest Trust and One Tree Planted.” The company has already saved over 1,000 acres of rainforest around the globe through Rainforest Trust.

Looking forward, with their new ties to the USA and Western Europe, Copper Branch hopes to have over 200 eatery locations worldwide by the year 2020.
