Miley Cyrus Responds To The Groping Incident In A Really Powerful Way

Vegan power couple Miley Cyrus and her husband Liam Hemsworth were recently in Barcelona, Spain, as a part of Miley’s promotions for her upcoming EP, called ‘She Is Coming.’ While walking back from her hotel with her husband alongside, a very distasteful incident happened, wherein she was groped by a random stranger. Cyrus’ empowering reply will encourage to speak out against the abuse of any form, no matter what.

Miley Cyrus Responds To The Distasteful Groping Incident In a Really Powerful Way

While leaving their hotel in Barcelona, Miley and Liam were walking down a tightly fan-packed way, where a random stranger, out of nowhere tried to abuse the star by physically touching her, even trying to plant a kiss. She was walking behind her husband when the molestation took place and in the video, Miley could be seen trying to get away, before the security realized and guarded her, followed by Liam who grabbed Miley protectively in his arms, before finally boarding onto their vehicle.

The vegan star recently responded in a really powerful way on her Instagram stories and then on her twitter feed. She made it a point to state loud and clear, that such incidents are equally awful to any woman and irrespective of what she is wearing or who she is with, no woman should be touched without her consent.

Miley Cyrus wrote in a series of pages on her Insta Stories, embedding the video and then in Twitter, embedding a media channel reporting the incident. She wrote on Twitter-

“She can be wearing what she wants. She can be a virgin.

She can be sleeping with five different people.

She can be with her husband. She can be with her girlfriend.

She can be naked. She CAN’T be grabbed without her consent.

The vegan star also made it a point to tweet a screenshot of some disturbingly sexist replies on facebook where she was being abused and hurled sexist comments at. She wrote “Don’t f**k with my freedom’ followed by a hashtag “#stillnotaskingforit.”
