Pamela Anderson Encourages Justin Trudeau To Go Vegan With Offer Of Support
“Were you to drop meat and dairy from your personal diet—which I so hope you will—I would be honored to be your mentor,” Anderson said in a letter to Trudeau.
The Canadian actor added that she would be happy to “suggest some of the tasty, diverse vegan foods proudly produced in Canada.”
Anderson sent the letter to the Prime Minister on behalf of animal rights organization People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
“Clean, Compassionate, And Clever”
PETA and Anderson have praised Trudeau for his recent decision to invest $100 million in plant-based proteins.
“As COVID-19 has exposed serious health risks associated with factory farms and slaughterhouses, the world needs more sensible leaders like you,” Anderson wrote, “who are willing to embrace clean, compassionate, and clever food solutions.”

Pamela Anderson & Justin Trudeau
This is not the first time Anderson has reached out to Trudeau to promote and encourage veganism.
The dedicated activist has previously urged the Prime Minister to transition Canadian prisons to a plant-based diet.
“A Win-Win Situation”
“Other prison systems have seen the benefits of serving inmates meat-free meals,” Anderson told Trudeau, “The Maricopa County Jail in Arizona, for example, reported that it reduced costs by $273,000 when it switched to all-vegetarian food for its 8,000 inmates.”
“Vegan eating has been proved to reduce the risk of suffering from obesity and cancer significantly and can even reverse heart disease and diabetes.”
“So vegan meals would improve inmates’ health and decrease their health-care costs over the long term—a win-win situation.”
