PETA Launches ‘Hottest Vegan Over 50’ Contest In The UK and Ireland
The competition for finding vegans over 50 who dazzle “on the inside even more so than on the outside” is PETA’s aim to showcase how veganism is for all of any age. They want to ‘honor the many wise and wonderful vegans who have crested 50.’ The competition, however, is limited to the UK and Ireland.
Speaking about the competition, the winner will be taking home a free one-night stay at the five-star Hilton London Bankside Hotel’s suite, which also happens to be the world’s first fully vegan hotel, according to PETA.
Director of PETA Elisa Allen told, “PETA can’t wait to pay tribute to this vibrant community of animal rights proponents who are testaments to the power of vegan eating.” She said, adding the competition will celebrate the venerable vegans, who stand examples for the younger generations to follow.
The Winner
After the two rounds of competition- registering the name and voting is done, one winner will be announced as the ‘Hottest Vegan Over 50’. The entry round is already on, and the last names can be submitted by 5 PM on July 22nd, 2019. The winner will be stated on August 12th. Know more about the contest here.
Every Vegan is a Winner

Winning is definitely honorary, but being vegan at any age is already an accomplishment. Vegans save almost 200 lives a year, in addition to the numerous health benefits of following a plant-based diet, and the positive effects on the environment.
