Dealing with constant nausea while being in the comfort of your own home is tough enough, but for women who have to travel into work every day, it can cause a lot of distress and sometimes lead to embarrassing mishaps.

Here are some handy tips for dealing with morning sickness at work.

We’ll start with the commute:

Are nausea, vomiting, and dizziness interfering with your ability to drive? It might be an idea to forgo driving for a bit and take a cab or grab a ride if you can.

  • Bring a bottle of icy cold water to sip on.
  • Keep the windows open in the car, so you get fresh air.
  • Have a few puke bags stored in your purse.

During the Day at Work:

  • Keep some lemons handy in a drawer for sniffing when you feel nauseous. It works, I swear.
  • If you can, try to have a few puke bags and a small garbage can around. Keep snacks handy; saltines, ginger candies, granola bars, fruit. Whatever works for you.
  • Taking a little fresh air break can help relieve nausea.

Supplies to Freshen Up:

So, you’re at work, you’ve tossed your cookies, and now you smell like puke, yay. It’s a great idea to have a little kit prepared for yourself so that you can freshen up after a bout of vomiting.

  • A toothbrush, toothpaste, and mouthwash.
  • Face wipes or tissues.
  • Makeup, if you wear it.
