The Impossible Burger Launches At Walmart Stores Across The US
Following the launch of the Impossible Burger at Trader Joe’s earlier this week, the plant-based option is now available at Walmart stores across the US.
The burger from Impossible Foods made its Walmart debut yesterday at more than 2,100 locations.
Dr. Patrick O. Brown, founder and CEO of Impossible Foods, revealed that the company’s goal “is to make the global food system sustainable.”
“To do that, Impossible Burger has to be available everywhere people shop for meat,” he explained.
“More Americans buy meat for their families at Walmart than anywhere else. We’re confident that once Walmart customers try Impossible, they’ll become enthusiastic advocates of our products and our mission.”

The burger is on sale at Walmart stores as a 12-ounce pack for $7.49.
A number of the stores have chosen to stock the plant-based alternative in the animal meat aisles. An experiment conducted earlier this month highlighted that sales of meat-alternatives grow by as much as 23 percent when these items are stocked alongside animal products.
Impossible Foods has shared that it is on a mission to expand its retail presence this year, aiming for a fifty fold increase by the end of 2020.
