Vegan Chicken Nuggets Company Raises 1 Million in Investments
A Seattle based tech company has raised over one million in capital for vegan chicken nuggets that
Via The Spoon, the startup that creates plant-based “chicken” nuggets, has raised a fresh $1 million in capital from investors including Liquid 2 Ventures, Sinai Ventures Fund, Uphones Capital and VegInvest (h/t Food-Navigator). This brings the total amount raised by Seattle Food Tech to $2 million.

For parents who switched to a plant-based diet and are trying to ease their kids into it, or even just finding a quick lunch for them, these vegan chicken nuggets would be an answer to many a frustrated parents afternoon.
The company plans to make the snack as affordable as regular nuggets, which would make them more attainable to parents on budgets. Through their specialized production, which is tailored specifically to their product, resulting in a cheaper product.
The company, which is less than a year old, is spearheaded by a female CEO, Christie Lagally, a mechanical engineer.
The company has said they plan to start sending the nuggets to select customer this month.
