Vegan Chocolate Protein Pancakes

If you’re a breakfast lover and a chocolate enthusiast, we’ve got the perfect meal for you!

This recipe from plant-based blogger Jessica Anne offers a healthier twist on traditional chocolate pancakes. Since they are packed with protein and wholesome ingredients, this a great breakfast to keep you fueled throughout your morning.

Not to mention, these pancakes are the perfect way to get your chocolate fix.

Vegan Chocolate Protein Pancakes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup spelt flour
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder (we used Pranaon Rich Chocolate Protein Powder)
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  •  1 tbsp coconut sugar
  • 1/4 cup powdered oats
  • 2 tbsp cacao powder 
  • 2 mashed bananas
  • 3/4 cup plant-based milk 
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract 
  • 1 tbsp rice malt syrup (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Combine the spelt flour, protein powder, baking powder, coconut sugar, powdered oats, and cacao powder in a bowl.
  2. Combine the mashed bananas, plant milk, vanilla extract, and rice malt syrup (if using) in a separate bowl.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until the batter is combined. 
  4. Cook in a hot non-stick pan until bubbles appear in the center of each pancake. Flip and cook for a few more minutes.
  5. Serve hot with fresh fruit, melted chocolate, or your choice of toppings. Enjoy!
