Yes Theory Shares Vegan Diet Benefits With Five Million YouTube Viewers

Popular YouTube channel Yes Theory — which has a following of more than five million people — has released a video exploring the benefits of a vegan diet.

Matt Dajer of Yes Theory switches to eating vegan for 30 days for the video and documents his progress.

“In recent years, one health trend stands out above most” says Dajer on veganism as he begins his video.

Before embarking upon his new diet, the YouTuber visits a doctor for a blood test to determine how healthy he currently is — with the intention of having another check up in 30 days time.

“After one week of going vegan, I was honestly feeling great” Dajer said.

“The snacks and the lunches and the dinners are all so tasty.”

Dajer meets with vegan bodybuilder Nimai Delgado to learn about how plant-based eating can enhance fitness performance.

Delgado tells Dajer that “every single day” someone will challenge him about where he gets his protein.

“I’m like dude, do I look like I’m struggling to get protein here” Delgado says flexing his muscles at the camera.

Dajer goes on to meet with Max Lugavere, the author of “Genius Foods” — a nutrition book that claims to help people “become happier, productive and smarter while protecting your brain.”

“There’s no such thing as a one size fits all diet,” explains Lugavere, “what works for you might not work for me.”

In a later discussion with The Games Changers co-producer and narrator James Wilks, Dajer learns how meat eaters can experience higher rates of nutrient deficiencies than vegans.

“Everybody I’ve talked to is so nice,” Dajer says of all the input he received, “and it literally makes so much sense every time.”

At the end of the 30 day challenge, the temporary vegan goes back to the doctor to have another blood test.

From the follow-up, Dajer learns that his vitamin B12 and testosterone levels have improved. His thyroid function also felt the benefit, and his protein levels were higher than they were 30 days ago.

“I did not expect the results to be that good,” he said, “it’s actually quite shocking.”

“I kinda feel like I don’t have a choice but to go majority plant-based now.”
