5 Holy Grail Vegan Products For Acne Prone Skin

by | February 12, 2019

If you’re one of the unlucky ones like me, you may suffer from adult acne. A couple of years ago, I decided to ditch the doctor-prescribed acne medicine and look into products that were less harsh on my skin, more sustainable, and of course, vegan and cruelty-free. Today, my skin is under control for the most part (with the exception of some PMS stress acne) thanks to these five holy grail vegan products for acne prone skin.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Skin Clearing Facial Wash

I discovered this product a couple of years ago after I finally gave up my previous non-cruelty free daily face wash and there’s no going back. Not only does tea tree oil smell amazing, but it aids in reducing the appearance of as well as repairing acne scars.

Lush Herbalism

Weekly, I will go in with an exfoliating skin wash in order to remove any dead skin particles that may otherwise give my skin a duller look. Herbalism features ground almonds, sage oil, and rose absolute among many other naturally derived products. The goal of this wash is to remove excess oils from the skin (which cause breakouts to ensue) and to tone.

Thayers Witch Hazel Aloe Vera Formula Lavender

I cannot even begin to express the importance of using a daily toner as soon as you’ve finished washing your face. It will help close up your pores after washing (since warm water opens your pores) and it will give your skin the appearance of being more balanced. In recent months, Thayers’ lavender has been my recent go to, but the rose infused one is a very close second.

Pacifica Dreamy Youth Day & Night Face Cream

Although I am one to be skeptical when it comes to 2-in-1 products, this moisturizer has been one of my only exceptions to the rule thus far. The moisturizer is very light on your face and it succeeds in locking in the moisture all day. It’s safe to use both day and night after washing and toning your face.

Lush 1,000 Millihelens

Once every two weeks (or whenever I find the extra time) I like to do a strong-acting face mask to pamper my skin. I like 1,000 Millihelens particularly because it contains ingredients including green tea, fresh apple juice, and witch hazel. Overall, the mask intends to detoxify your skin to prevent any future breakouts.
