Organic, Vegan, And Cruelty-free Perfume Recipe To Try This Valentine’s Day

A pleasant perfume makes us feel good, but unfortunately, many of the perfumes we buy have several chemical additives that are not good for our health or the environment.

Their production usually requires animal products and animal testing. A great alternative is making your own using this perfume recipe.

Organic, Vegan, and Cruelty-Free Perfume Recipe to Try this Valentine’s Day

This perfume recipe uses essential oils to get a lovely smell without the toxic chemicals in traditional perfume.

The maximum dosage of the essential oil in the basic solution is usually up to 4%, a dosage below may result in less fixation of the perfume.

The type of fragrance greatly affects fixation, citrus essential oils are more volatile and have less fixation, the woody ones have greater fixation because they are less volatile.

More volatile essential oils are easier to evaporate than less volatile oils, so the less volatile oils have a greater aroma fixation.

The skin type also influences the fixing. With drier skin, the scent usually has less fixation and needs to be applied more often, and in oily skin, it lasts longer and fixes better. Another issue is that the sweat obstructs the fixation of the perfume.

To make your perfume, you will need:

  • 40 ml of grain alcohol
  • 40 ml of distilled water
  • 20 ml of the selected essential oil

Note: If you do not want to use distilled water, use only 80 ml of grain alcohol. Grain alcohol and distilled water can be found in natural pharmacies or health food stores.

Materials:

  • 1 glass bottle with a spray top (to store the perfume)
  • 1 large bottle of dark glass (for the preparation of the perfume)
  • 1 funnel (to pour the perfume recipe into the bottles)

Instructions:

The preparation is simple. Just mix all the ingredients inside the dark glass bottle (use the funnel to pour them.)

Then close it well and put it in the refrigerator for a week.

After this period, remove the mixture and pour it into the spray bottle with the funnel.

Your perfume is ready to be used.
