Boyfriend Swaps Vegan Milk With Dairy to Confirm GF’s Claims
A man after moving in with his vegan girlfriend decided to ‘stir’ things up and came up with the not so brilliant idea of swapping his girlfriend’s vegan milk with dairy. His motive? To confirm or rather check her claims that giving up on dairy helped clear her acne. A decision he would come to regret soon. Read on to know more.

Man Changes Vegan Milk with Dairy to Prove Girlfriend That Dairy is Ok
The man took to Reddit to share on a thread about the unnecessary ‘experiment’ he had been doing. He intruded into his vegan girlfriend’s rightful belief of getting a clear skin after going vegan and decided to teach her that the other ‘dairy’ way is good too. But it turns out the lame, insensitive, and unthoughtful experiment didn’t fetch the results he wanted. According to the man on the Reddit thread, he was initially doing well with his girlfriend’s dietary choices. But as time passed and the couple moved in, the man grew ‘tired of all the vegan food.’ He wrote–
“(…) teenagers get acne and it goes away yeah, hers just went away a bit late. And now that we’re living together, I’ve been getting tired of all the vegan food (…)”
“Mostly she swears that it cleared up her skin—from pictures, it seems she went from really gnarly acne to very clear skin.”
But the issue started when he couldn’t make himself believe in the health benefits of a vegan diet and decided to prove to her girlfriend that her belief, in dairy giving her acne, isn’t true. And to counter her claims, he took a drastically sneaky step. He, in her unknown, had been swapping her vegan milk container with dairy milk, for the past two months. All of this so that he can say- “Surprise! You can eat whatever you want!” He wrote–
“So I thought I would prove to her that the whole “dairy gives me acne” thing is in her head. For the past two months, I’ve been emptying the same soy creamer container and filling it with dairy creamer.
“I was gonna do a big reveal, like “Surprise! You can eat whatever you want!”
According to him, he had grown tired of her girlfriend’s vegan food and feels like “sometimes a man just needs some mac and cheese with cut up hot dogs,” despite he mentioned she is a ‘great cook.’
Things started to go inevitably wrong since the time he started seeing her girlfriend wear more makeup than usual. ‘She’s been wearing makeup both in and out of the house lately’, he wrote and mentioned that later when he saw her barefaced for the first time in a while, it was ‘BAD.’ ‘Like insects about to hatch out of her face bad,’ he wrote.
The woman, as a result of consuming dairy, which she might have thought was vegan milk, had her severe acne on her skin. And seeing the mishap, the guilty man wrote on the thread that he will ‘(…) just quietly throw out the dairy and her skin will go back to normal…’ He wrote that he felt bad, but he did for her good. He will switch everything back to normal after being slapped by his own disbelief.
People on Reddit outpoured their reaction, condemning the man for the sneaky choice that sabotaged someone’s dietary preferences.
‘You also could have made her horrendously sick! If she’s been vegan for years and you gave her animal products then she could have gotten extremely ill. Please never do that again,’ wrote someone. Whereas others went to say he had been abusive. People agreed the matter should be told to the victim so that she can decide her own.
Dairy Isn’t any Healthy
Contrary to popular belief, it is found that dairy is actually not healthy. According to researches, non-milk drinkers get less severe acne than milk-drinkers. This includes all dairy products like milk chocolate and stuff. A finding published on Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology revealed that teenage boys who drank most milk had worse acne. The same in the case of girls. Some studies have associated the presence of a certain hormone in milk to cause acne.
We hope the man learned his lesson, and will never ever repeat the same. What do you think? Let me know in comments.
