Last May KFC promised they’ll be looking more into healthier and more plant-based options in their menu, and behold, the day you’re getting your hands on actually one, doesn’t have to be far enough. Here’s what you need to know about the upcoming KFC vegan chicken burger in the UK.

KFC Vegan Chicken Burger is on the Way in the UK

Nisha Katona, entrepreneur, and a BBC journalist revealed in a tweet to her followers about the plant-based chicken burger, from KFC, which she was the first to try and how ‘brilliant’ it was. The global fast-food chain has earlier talked about their plans to extend their plant-based options, is now supposedly on their way to launch the plant-based chicken burger in the United Kingdom. Although nothing is yet known about the launch date nor any deep information about the product, nonetheless, we can hope the launch should be soon. Hopefully.  

BBC Journalist Nisha Katona Tried the Upcoming KFC Vegan Chicken Burger

The CEO of the Indian restaurant chain Mowgli, and celebrated BBC journalist wrote on the micro-blogging site about her experience for the first time trial.

“Oh my heaven! On a dream job today- filming for the BBC One Show with exclusive access to the actual KFC headquarters development kitchen. Also I was the first member of the public to taste the new vegan chicken burger. This to me is actually living the dream.”

And replying to her fans who were going all restless trying to know how the burger was, Nisha wrote to one- it was a ‘brilliant product’ and they’re ‘still working in it’ adding that the same is a ‘truly great’ start for them (KFC). She also said she was the first to taste the product.

KFC’s Vegan Chicken

Raise Vegan has earlier reported about KFC’s trial of a vegan chicken. The company reportedly declined to comment if the launch will go global. KFC’s Innovation Director, Jack Hinchcliffe speaking to the Telegraph earlier this year said that the company has been in their way to testing vegan and vegetarian option in their test kitchen adding that ‘veganism is on the rise, further assuring the company won’t let vegans down with their offering.

Speaking about KFC’s vegan offering, the company has been serving the KFC vegan chicken burger in Vietnam since 2018 and in Canada as well.
