Vegan Superstar Singer Carrie Underwood Welcomes Second Child After Fertility Struggles
In an Instagram post, Carrie introduces Jacob Bryan Fisher, saying he entered the world in the wee hours of Monday morning. Mom, dad, and big brother Isaiah Michael, couldn’t be happier for God to trust them to take care of the little miracle. The star posted pictures of herself, her husband, and her son holding the sweet newborn baby Jacob, adding that their hearts were full, their eyes are tired, and life is forever changed.
Carrie Underwood revealed in an emotional interview back in September, with CBS Sunday Morning, that she had suffered three miscarriages from 2017 to 2018. Opening up about her fertility struggles, the star revealed that her son Isaiah was such a sweet blessing, that if they could never have any more children, they would be okay because he’s such a blessing.
Carrie became a vegetarian when she was growing up. Her family raised cows, and when she finally learned that they were slaughtered for their meat, she was so freaked out by it, that she decided to stop eating beef. The country singer didn’t become vegan straight away, but by the time she was twenty-two she was living in California and found the transition easy as vegan food was so widely available there.
The country star now lives in Nashville, where she’s said that the vegan options are plentiful there too. Although the American Idol winner sometimes finds it difficult to stay completely vegan, especially when she’s on the road for work, she tries very hard.
Carrie Underwood will be taking three-month maternity leave before starting her Cry Pretty tour on May 1st.
