Cruelty Free Skincare For A Long-haul Flight

If you’re like me, you had to travel quite a distance for the holidays. I had an eleven-hour-long flight this week across the Atlantic Ocean in order to spend Christmas with my family in California.
Needless to say, the stress from traveling has caught up to me, leaving my skin in desperate need of some TLC. I am here to share with you my cruelty-free skincare routine to help you recover from your recent travels.

Face Wash
In order to brighten your skin and bring it back to life, I recommend using Lush’s Dark Angels face and body cleanser which contains powdered charcoal, avocado oil, and ghassoul mud among other natural ingredients.
The cleanser’s three key points are “exfoliating, balancing [and], absorbent”. This product is safe for acne-prone, oily, and sensitive skin.
Face Mask
Continuing with Lush, the Mask of Magnaminty will instantly zap any imperfections that may have happened to your skin while traveling.
After completely drying your face after washing, apply a generous, even layer of the mask to your face (avoiding your eyes and mouth area).
The relaxing minty smell of the mask will make you never want to wash it off! My favorite part of the cruelty-free skincare routine.
Toner
Mario Badescu skincare is magical, to say the least. My favorite product from the line that never disappoints is their toner.
Both the aloe vera and lavender-based toners will provide equally satisfying results. Most importantly, the toner is alcohol and fragrance-free, meaning that it won’t irritate your skin.
Serum
Tea tree oil is one of the best products for your skin, and with its anti-inflammatory properties, your skin will thank you.
The Body Shop’s Tea Tree Oil serum is sustainably made and it comes from the Foothills of Mount Kenya (ethically traded by Kenyan farmers). You’ll instantly feel the wonderful effects of the oil as early as the first application.
Moisturizer
To finish off the routine with moisturizer, use Pacifica’s Dreamy Youth Day and Night Face Cream. Full of essential antioxidants, this lightweight cream is perfect for maintaining moisture in your skin.
This moisturizer also naturally promotes the creation of collagen as well as providing a lifting effect on the skin. What is your favorite cruelty-free skincare item? Let me know in the comments below.
