Del Taco Launches Two New Vegan Burritos In Collaboration With Beyond Meat
The new plant-based options are the Epic Beyond Original Mex Burrito and the Epic Beyond Fresh Avocado Burrito.
The Original Mex Burrito features vegan meat with slow-cooked beans, cilantro lime rice, fresh guacamole, and pico de gallo, combined in a flour tortilla.
The Fresh Avocado Burrito features vegan meat with sliced avocado, pico de gallo, salsa casera, clinatro lime rice, and black beans, combined in a flour tortilla.
“This Fourth of July weekend, plant-based fans will be able to celebrate with one of the largest menus of plant-based items in the fast food category,” said Tim Hackbardt, Del Taco’s chief marketing officer.
Del Taco has partnered with Door Dash for the launch, to offer customers free delivery on orders that include a Beyond Meat burrito between July 3 and July 5.

Del Taco & Beyond Meat
Del Taco is the second leading quick-service Mexican restaurant chain in the US.
The popular brand has been serving Beyond Meat products since June 2019, with the option to make the burritos vegan by omitting dairy ingredients.
The new releases mark the first time Del Taco has offered completely vegan burritos that include a meat alternative.
Data shows that sales of vegan meat products at food outlets in the US were up 18.4 percent in the first quarter of 2020, with Beyond Meat reporting 51.9 percent growth in the same period.
