This classification is based on the six olfactory families, which are divided into six groups. Some of these groups are most commonly used in men’s perfumes, and others in women’s perfumes. This aromatic group exudes elegance, discretion, refinement, and sensuality, with the sweet aromas of flowers, which can be found mainly in essential oils: sweet Allis, jasmine, lavender, gardenia, and rose.
Fougère
Perfumes of this group are characterized by emanating freshness, vitality, purity, and daring, related to the aromas of herbs and herbaceous plants and which are present mainly in the following essential oils: oak moss, mint, seaweed, cinnamon, and basil.
Asian
The oriental-scented notes are exuberant, seductive, and exotic and are found mainly in essential oils: opulent flowers, sweet vanilla, pepper, and anise.
