KFC Trials Vegan Fried Chicken In Beyond Meat Partnership
Fast-food giant KFC is launching a trial of a vegan fried chicken developed in partnership with meat-alternative brand Beyond Meat.
The release was announced today on social media.
“It’s Kentucky Fried Chicken but it’s made with @beyondmeat,” reads an Instagram post from the brand.
“It’s confusing, but it’s also delicious. Feast on these Kentucky Fried miracles tomorrow while they last at KFC in Atlanta, Georgia.”
The trial will begin at the chain’s Cobb Parkway location only, where combos featuring the plant-based boneless wings and nuggets will start at $6.49.
Whether the option goes nationwide depends on the success of the trial.

Beyond Vegan Fried Chicken
According to the meat alternative brand’s CEO and Founder, Ethan Brown, KFC is a welcome addition to the brand’s list of partners — which includes chains such as Subway, Del Taco, A&W, Tim Hortons, and Carl’s Jr.
“KFC is an iconic part of American culture and a brand that I, like so many consumers, grew up with,” he said.
“To be able to bring Beyond Fried Chicken, in all of its KFC-inspired deliciousness to market, speaks to our collective ability to meet the consumer where they are and accompany them on their journey.”
