Miyoko's To Launch New Vegan Cheese Selection At Whole Foods

Vegan cheese company Miyoko’s Creamery is set to launch its latest creations at Whole Foods stores across the US.

From April, two new flavors of shredded cheese and cheese slices will be available — Farmhouse Cheddar and Pepper Jack.

Miyoko’s products are usually made with a cashew nut base, however, the new selection is created using an allergen-friendly combination of oats, legumes, and potatoes.

“Everyday Products That Appeal To Omnivores”

“The move to plant-based options is not a trend — it is a fundamental shift in consumer behavior,” said Miyoko Schinner, founder of the plant-based company.

“It’s motivated by a wide variety of issues — from personal health and food sensitivities to concerns for the planet and animals.”

“A key component to accelerating that trend is the ability to create new everyday products that appeal to omnivores and flexitarians — not just vegans and vegetarians.”

Miyoko’s Vegan Cheese

The popular dairy-alternative company also recently launched a new vegan mozzarella — which it debuted at a pizza chain in California last month.

Pizza My Heart was the first company to offer Miyoko’s Cultured Vegan Pizza Mozz to customers — which the cheese company called “a true game-changer.”
