by | January 16, 2019

An adorable new children’s book about animals is about to be released by author and illustrator Kara Maria. Charlie to the Rescue is about when a curious little chicken living at a pond discovers that he originally came from an animal farm. After Charlie learns that animal farms are very dangerous places he goes on a mission to save his friends from the farm, he soon finds out that freeing his friends is not enough. Charlie to the Rescue teaches children that all animals should be treated with love and kindness, just like cats and dogs.

Charlie to the Rescue is the first of many fun and colorful children’s books that Kara intends to publish. The thirty-two-page picture book is scheduled for release on March 5th. The author asks you to follow Charlie on his journey as he discovers everything he needs to do to help keep his friends from the farm safe. The book is designed for ages three to eight.

After several years of thinking and revision, Kara came up with the concept for Charlie to the Rescue. She wanted to write a fun and child-friendly book that had a strong vegan message. Kara wanted to show the double standard of loving a pet and treating other animals as food.
