THIS TODDLER LOCKED THEIR MOTHERS PHONE FOR 47 YEARS BECAUSE, WELL TODDLERS

by | August 16, 2018

Toddlers. They’re hilarious and make us lose our minds at the same time. This toddler locked their mothers’ phone for 47 years. 47?! How?!

Whether you’re a parent who gives the screen timeout liberally, or rations that stuff for the really tough times, this is one story that might just flare up the anxiety. If you’re anything like me, that phone is sometimes your only source to the outside world, especially on days when your toddlers manage to ruin the house, have fifteen tantrums, and use that permanent marker to draw you a pretty flower on the wall. All before 9 am. But this toddler locked their mothers’ phone for a crazy amount of time.

The idea of one of your toddlers not only getting a hold of your phone, because that reoccuring dream of them ‘going live’ on Instagram and walking into the bathroom is tangible enough to happen, but then locking it for a whopping forty seven years? Forget it, where is that island all vegans are supposed to get trapped on with a wild bear and desolate waste land.

It happened to one mom, who only identified herself as Lu, in the South China Morning Post. She handed her two year old toddler her iphone to watch educational videos, or Barney, no shame here Lu, we’ve all been there when telling a story!

Turns out little master technician just kept banging on the keys as it asked for the password, and the toddler locked their mothers’ phone for twenty-five million minutes.

She did what everyone would do, took it directly to the Apple Store, where said Apple genuines would wave a magic wand and all would be right with the world, and only twenty five million Facebook notifications to catch up on. Yet, they told her that she had only two choices, wait, or factory reset the phone.

“I couldn’t really wait for 47 years and tell my grandchild it was your father’s mistake,” she said.

She did, however, try and wait it out for a few months, in the hope that it would unlock itself, but no such luck after the toddler locked their mothers’ phone.

Of course, when she unlocked it and got back to routine life.  The mommy forces came out to shame her for being a parent who has other s**t to do. From why her toddler even had the phone, or why she didn’t have it backed up.

The more anxiety fueled part of this tale, is that the Apple store employees explained that this has happened before to other people. So maybe those Fisher Price phones might be worth their investment! You have to admit though, it’s quite hilarious that this toddler locked their mothers’ phone for 47 years.
