Vegan Online Retailer To Open First Vegan Superstore
Broadsheet reports that Flora & Fauna’s North Rocks warehouse is 11,000 square feet and will stock over 6000 ethical, environmentally conscious and vegan products.
Flora & Fauna’s founder Julie Mathers told Broadsheet she started the brand as an online-only retailer, and that opening up the warehouse as a vegan marketplace felt like “a really obvious next step for us”.
Flora & Fauna, A Success Story
Flora & Fauna quickly became a business success story, winning the 2018 New South Wales Telstra Business Award for Small and Succeeding Business.
Broadsheet reports that Flora & Fauna is a Certified B Corporation, meaning it meets high standards of social and environmental performance, public transparency and legal accountability. In addition, Flora & Fauna offset all carbon emissions from the business through Greenfleet, an initiative to plant native forests across Australia.
The store will be hosting regular events to help people go green. From initiatives such as Plastic Free July, through to workshops on cloth diapers, Mathers is determined to make the Flora & Fauna marketplace a one-stop-shop to all things plant-based and environmentally conscious.
This weekend will be the grand opening with a vegan wine truck, pop up stations for making dairy-free plant-based chocolates, product tastings, cruelty-free beauty makeovers and much more.
