Banana Peanut Butter Smoothie Bowl Recipe
Ok, first things first, I may have a slight obsession with peanut butter, but this banana peanut butter smoothie bowl is too good to not share!
I’m a big lover of all things peanut butter and smoothie bowls are quickly taking over my life. I’ve been experimenting and came up with this delicious but nutritious banana peanut butter smoothie bowl. It’s super simple and quick to make.
- 2 medium-sized frozen bananas
- 1 cup almond or soy milk
- 1 tsp cacao powder
- 2 tsp smooth peanut butter
- 1/2 cup of ice
- Sliced banana
- Handful of unsalted peanuts
- Chocolate chips
- Add all the ingredients into a blender, leaving out the almond/soy milk.
- Blend and add the milk in slowly to thicken it up.
- Once its smooth, transfer to a bowl.
- Top with sliced strawberries, bananas, peanuts and chocolate chips.
Serves 1-2 (depending on if you want to share.)
Best served fresh but you can always cover it, stick it in the fridge and it’ll good for up to 24 hours. Alternatively, you can freeze it and make some banana peanut butter smoothie popsicles!
Smoothie bowls are an excellent way of getting in loads of nutrients, and kids love them so it makes it easier to pack them full of good stuff. Taste it while you’re blending it and adjust the flavors to suit you. Add more milk to make it thinner, more peanut butter to make it saltier, more cacao powder to make it more chocolatey.
This recipe can be adjusted so many ways to make it just how you like it. Add in some extra berries for an added punch, or add some vegan protein powder to make it a healthy protein packed bowl.
