Be the Change Cafe in Worcester to Host Vegan Parents Workshop

Baby Led Weaning cookbook author Marixsa Watson will be hosting a Vegan parents workshop in the Worcester area on Friday, January 18th. The workshop is set to take place at Be the Change Cafe in Worcester, England and will cover topics such as vegan parenting, challenges with social views, nutrition, and dealing with family and friends’ disapproval.

Vegan Parents Workshop in Worcester

Along with a Q&A session for parents and family members, the workshop will screen documentaries such as Vegucated, Cowspiracy, and Forks Over Knives. A selection of children’s books dedicated to veganism will be read to the children, including Stanley Foo’s book ‘Just like Me’ and Ruby Roth’s ‘V is for Vegan’.

There will also be informational leaflets and take-home coloring books for the children. Marixsa will talk about baby led weaning and will be talking about her recipe book More Fruit and Veg, Please: A Vegan Cookbook.

Marixsa has certifications in level 3 Vegetarian/Vegan Nutrition, level 4 in General Children’s Nutrition, and a BSC in Environmental Science/Ecology. The vegan mom will be releasing a second book early this year. There is a parents meeting the first Friday of each month at 10:30 am at the same location.

The Veganuary vegan parents workshop is just one of many events being held at Be the Change Cafe this month. The cafe is located at 2 Corn Market, Worcester, WR1 2 DJ.
