Hilary Duff Shares Empowering Breast Feeding Pic on Instagram

Hilary Duff, also known as Lizzie McGuire to fellow 90s babies such as myself, shared a touching photo on Instagram earlier this week talking about her experience with breast-feeding her second child, Banks. In a long photo caption which she even has to post in the comments in order to continue, she shares an empowering message to breastfeeding busy moms everywhere (like herself) surrounding her personal struggles with breastfeeding and pumping for her baby.

Hilary Duff Shares Empowering Breast Feeding Pic on Instagram

Following a photo of herself breastfeeding her now 6-month old daughter, Banks, Duff begins by sharing that she had planned to feed her daughter breast milk at least until she was 6 months old, then she would listen to both her body and he daughter at that time to decide if she would continue to on with breast milk or if she would end up switching over to formula.

Hilary Duff continued to talk further about this in the comments section of her original post, which you can read below. In this second part of her message, she brings everything back around with a very positive spin on her situation that’s bigger than her, her situation that mothers everywhere encounter.

She mentions that “I am happy to say that I haven’t fed or pumped in three days and it’s crazy how fast you can come out on the other side…Banks is thriving and I get even more time with her and daddy gets to do more feeds!… Whether you are pre or postpartum. Or just a busy mom, you are an [superhero] every day for all that you do.”

Banks Violet Bair is the second child of Hilary Duff and the first child that she and her partner Matthew Koma had together. Her first child, Luca Cruz Comrie, was born in 2012 and she co-parents him with his father, NHL player Mike Comrie. According to her Instagram, Luca seems very happy to have a new baby sister!
