Hugo Boss Launches Vegan Leather Men’s Shoe Line

Fashion label giant Hugo Boss has launched a vegan leather men’s shoe line, using cruelty free leather made from pineapple leaf fibers called Pinatex. The shoes come in four colors; blue, yellow, orange, and black and were colored using plant-based dyes. The sole of the shoes is made from recycled thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). Not only are the shoes cruelty-free, but they’re also made specifically to have a minimal carbon footprint, right down to the packaging which consists of one hundred percent recycled materials.

Pinatex is an all-around sustainable product. Not only does it replace leather, which has a huge environmental impact because it uses a lot of water and chemicals, it also produces jobs for farmers and allows them to make money by using all of their crops with little to no waste.

Hugo Boss has described the new line of sneakers as “bold steps forward for responsible design.” The luxury brand is joining some of the top designers who are seeing and meeting the growing demand for more cruelty-free, sustainable fashion. The cruelty-free, sustainable vegan leather men’s shoe line is available for purchase at a reasonable price of $173.99 per pair.
