Piers Morgan Is At it Again, Slams Vegan Cornish Pasties This Time

Piers Morgan Is At it Again, Slams Vegan Cornish Pasties This Time

According to the Evening Standard, Morgan’s co-host Susanna Reid debuted the Cornish pasty from English chain Morrisons on Good Morning Britain. Reid announced to Morgan that the pasty was his “vegan breakfast” and was kindly provided by Morrisons. 

Morgan, who is well known for his dislike of vegan products following his stoush with Greggs when they launched their vegan ‘sausage roll’, once again turned his nose up in disgust announcing that “it looks disgusting”. 

According to the Evening Standard, the Morrisons’ pasty is handmade in Cornwall and includes ingredients such as vegan mince, potato, swede, and onion all wrapped in a delicious vegan pastry.

Following the stoush between Piers Morgan and Greggs over the launch of the sausage roll, the Guardian reported that the product flew off the shelves with Greggs struggling to keep up with demand and selling hundreds of thousands in the week following the launch. 

We can only hope that the Piers effect will again increase the demand for this latest vegan pastry.
