Popular UK Pub Chain Wetherspoon Adds Vegan Beyond Burger To The Menu
Popular pub chain Wetherspoon has added the vegan Beyond Meat burger to the menu.
Customers at any of the 874 UK locations will now be able to enjoy the plant-based burger, served with chopped lettuce and sliced tomatoes in a sourdough bun.
Diners can also opt to upgrade the burger to include avocado, red onion, salsa, and rocket.
“A Great New Option For Vegans”
“We are always on the lookout for new and innovative products, to bring further choice and quality to our customers,” said Jameson Robinson, head of food at Wetherspoon.
“Our Beyond burger offers a great new option for vegans and vegetarians, as well as anyone wishing to reduce their meat intake, which is an ever-growing number.”

Beyond Meat At Wetherspoon
The Beyond Burger will replace the previous vegan option, which was made with a Meatless Farm patty.
The Meatless Farm burger was first introduced in October last year for a six month trial.
“A Different Direction”
“JD Wetherspoon has decided to take a different direction,” said a spokesperson for Meatless Farm, “though it has been assured…that this is no reflection on the quality of Meatless Farm’s products.”
“There remains a close relationship between the two thriving British businesses, and we’re sure there will be a way that we can work together again.”
