Semi-Naked Activists Protest Against The Annual Running Of The Bulls
On the eve of the annual running of the bulls festival in Pamplona, dozens of semi-naked activists have attempted to draw attention to the animal cruelty involved in the festival.

Semi-Naked Activists Protest Against The Annual Running Of The Bulls
Activists staged a performance simulating speared bulls lying dead on Pamplona’s streets. The activists are now there each year to try and raise awareness of the cruelty of the event, as well as to try and have it shut down.
Eight Seriously Injured
In this year’s festival, according to 7 News, two Australian’s were gored by bulls, along with six others over the eight runs.
A Tourist Boom For Italy
The festival, which reportedly brings more than a million tourists to the area each year has been running since 1910. However, in recent years more activists have been protesting the event as a cruel and unnecessary form of animal cruelty for entertainment purposes.
Unnecessary Deaths Mar The Festival
Over the years, sixteen people have been killed as a result of the running of the bulls, with the last death occurring 10 years ago in 2009. It is unknown how many bulls have been killed or injured as a result of the event, however according to PETA each bull that partakes in the event are later killed.
