There are some great skin health benefits from Spirulina; it contains vitamin E, selenium and tyrosine, which have powerful anti-aging effects. The antioxidants in tyrosine eliminate free radicals and can slow down the aging process. This skin salvaging spirulina vegan smoothie has all kinds of ingredients that are great for the skin. Pineapple is packed full of vitamin C, bromelain and antioxidants which are incredibly beneficial for fine lines, sun damage, and acne. Cucumber is high in antioxidants and promotes hydration.

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp spirulina
  • ½ cup frozen pineapple
  • 1/2 cup cucumber
  • 3/4 cup almond milk
  • Frozen blackberries, for topping
  • Pineapple chunks, for topping
  • Granola, for topping

Directions

Blend everything together until smooth. Top with frozen blackberries, pineapple, and granola.
