Super Bowl Jackfruit Nachos Recipe

Here is an easy and quick jackfruit nachos recipe to make perfect snacks for your Super Bowl party next weekend.

Jackfruit is the hottest thing to hit menus since sliced bread. It’s everywhere, even Pizza Hut has it. The fruit is delicious, and it has a meaty texture to it, making it an excellent topping for nachos. Wow your friends by making these jackfruit nachos and bring them to the Super Bowl party.

Super Bowl Jackfruit Nachos Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 big bag of tortilla chips
  • 1 15-ounce can black beans, drained
  • 2 20-ounce cans of jackfruit (in brine)
  • 3/4 cup BBQ sauce
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1-2 cups vegan cheese
  • 1/2 cup red onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup black olives, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Drain and rinse the canned jackfruit.
  3. Add jackfruit, BBQ sauce, and water into a pan and simmer for about 20 minutes, until the jackfruit is soft and the sauce is nice and thick. Then shred the jackfruit using two forks.
  4. Spread tortilla chips over the baking sheet and toss the black beans over the top. Layer the BBQ jackfruit over the top. And scatter with vegan cheese.
  5. Put the baking sheet in the oven for 10 minutes.
  6. When it’s all warmed up, top with the red onion, black olives, and cilantro.

This is amazing served with guac!
