Vegan Mattress Launched by Avocado Green
Well, before you know how kind vegan mattresses can be, let me tell you how cruel a normal mattress is. Ideally, mattresses imply wool which is derived paying no heed to the animal’s pain. According to PETA, shearers are paid by volume of wool they shear and not by hour which makes them do their work in a haste, in the process causing extreme torture to the gentle and meek animals. What is more horrifying, while shearing sheep are often hurt, their skin torn, ears, tails, and even tits ripped off in the process at times. You’ll be shocked to know- workers even sew-shut some worst wounds with thread and needle without any pain relief. That’s heart-wrenching.
But now you can sleep in peace knowing no sheep was abused for your slumber. US toxin-free and eco-friendly mattress brand- Avocado Mattress has launched a vegan mattress that does not bother any sheep for the outstanding product. According to PETA, the mattress makers after learning the horrors of the wool industry have launched the vegan iteration of mattress that does not use wool and is PETA approved.
PETA Director Anne Brainard says-
“Today’s shoppers want to avoid cruelty to animals, and that includes rejecting wool from lambs who are left broken and bloody by the shearing process.”Anne Brainard via peta.org
