Star-Lord-Approved Galaxy Vegan Breakfast Toast for Avengers Endgame

by | April 24, 2019

Chris Pratt, also known as Star-Lord in the MCU, is a major babe, let’s just get that out of the way. He may or may not be the reason why I’ve watched the two Guardians of the Galaxy movies upwards of a dozen times each. Whether you’re going to the theater with your children to watch Avengers Endgame because you’re a Marvel fan yourself, or if you just love admiring vegan-hunk Chris Hemsworth, you won’t want to skip out on this deliciously sweet breakfast!

This galaxy vegan breakfast toast recipe is very easy to make as a delicious morning pick-me-up and adding a small amount of vegan-friendly galaxy sprinkles is a sure way to get the full galaxy experience. Although you can achieve a beautiful array of colors using food coloring, this recipe will use more natural ways of getting those galaxy tones that Groot, Rocket, Drax, Gamora, and Star-Lord all know and love.

Ingredients:

  • Vegan-friendly sliced bread of your choice (I really like multigrain styles for extra nutrients)
  • Vegan cream cheese of your choice (Tofutti is one of the best, in my opinion)
  • vegan-friendly star sprinkles (Baking Time Club is my favorite and they have sky sprinkles with stars and galaxy-esque edible pearls!)
  • Blue spirulina
  • Blueberry powder

Instructions:

  1. Toast your favorite bread of choice until it reaches your child’s favorite level of crispiness.
  2. In a small bowl (dipping sauce bowls work great for this), add the vegan cream cheese and blue spirulina and roughly mix so that there are some streaks of the white cream cheese showing. You only need to add a very small amount of spirulina at a time. Spread a generous amount on the toast once the toast has cooled down a bit.
  3. Lightly sprinkle a small amount of blueberry powder onto the toast and use a fork to make “galaxies” (swirls) with it. It helps to look at real galaxy photos to get inspiration during this step!
  4. Add a small helping of vegan galaxy sprinkles on top and voilà! Star-Lord galaxy toast. Enjoy with a tall glass of orange juice and fresh fruit.
