Vegan Woman Who Brought Own Food to the Party Shamed by Fellow Guest
A woman got roasted in a Facebook shaming group after she allegedly carried her own huge Tupperware full of plant-based food at a bachelorette party and nuptials she was attending. A woman from the Facebook group, “That’s it, I’m wedding shaming,” who was a fellow guest at the same party took to the platform and roasted the vegan woman who, according to the poster, caused problems the entire time. The woman’s post reportedly received 200 likes and there she wrote, “Not wedding shaming but wedding guest shaming.”
The woman narrated the incident, which she touted as rude to bring own food to an event even though there were arrangements for her vegan diet in the occasion (the host opted for a five-star restaurant), reported the Metro.
“She’s vegan, (no shame that’s cool) but because of it, she didn’t want to pay the same price for food as everyone because she wasn’t going to eat things like pizza, eggs for breakfast
etc. I was cool with that,” wrote the fellow guest.
She went on to say that the vegan guest, “moped around in the kitchen cooking her vegan food,” whenever there was time to eat, where she (vegan woman) wouldn’t participate and even allegedly food shamed the non-vegans present at the party.
“We went to a nice restaurant Saturday night, with plenty of vegan options (we checked the menu for her ahead of time) but she insisted on lugging a HUGE Tupperware container of her special food out,” wrote the woman, adding, “This girl sat next to me at a 5-star place picking a few bites around from a 5-gallon container.”
She stated, “the whole weekend revolved around her being vegan and rude about it.”
The matters didn’t end in here. The woman in the Facebook shaming group continued claiming that on the day of the wedding, despite the bride making arrangements for vegan food, the woman still bought her own vegan food. “Not shaming her food choices at all,” wrote the poster, adding that she’s shaming the fact that the vegan woman (who brought own food to the party) shamed them for their pizza (the facebook poster recalled words like murder and slaughter), and her choice to bring food despite knowing there was an arrangement for her at the wedding.
Facebook users commented on the post:
“I was a hard-core vegan for about three years and never did I bring
tupperware-filled food to a restaurant. There was always something customizable to eat, she’s just looking for attention,” wrote a user.
“I’d probably get annoyed with this person but I feel like this isn’t really
s hameworth,” another person wrote.
“Maybe some extreme food allergies she’s embarrassed about?’ wrote someone else.
Although bringing a box full of plant-based food to a party won’t really harm anybody or decrease anyone’s appetite by any means, the poster who shamed the vegan woman might have felt offended. What are your thoughts on the vegan woman who brought own food to the party? Let us know in the comments.
