Ingredients:
- 1 cup pearl sago
- ½ cup potato (diced into small pieces)
- ½ cup tomatoes (finely chopped)
- ¼ tbsp green chilies (finely chopped)
- ¼ cup peanuts (roughly chopped)
- 4-5 curry leaves
- 2 tbsp cilantro leaves (fresh and chopped)
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 ½ tbsp pepper
- salt to taste
- vegetable oil to cook
- water as required
Directions:
- Wash pearl sago thoroughly under clear running water. Leave it overnight in a covered bowl. Sago pearls will absorb moisture from the residual water to turn fluffy in the morning.
- This is how it should look in the morning:

- Heat 2-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a wok. Drop mustard seeds in it.
- Add curry leaves, peanuts, and green chilies to the oil and sauté for a few seconds.
- Next, add potatoes and sauté until they turn soft.
- When the potatoes are done, add tomatoes, salt,
and pepper to the wok. Let it cook for about 10 minutes. - Add the damp sago pearls and cook for another 5 minutes. Turn the heat off and garnish with chopped cilantro leaves.
