Mango-Avocado Smoothie With the Goodness of Dates: A Treat For Vegan Kids

What better way to start the morning, for your vegan kids, than a glass of yummy smoothie. Smoothies are easy to prepare and fulfilling meal in itself. So this summer does not miss out on the taste and flavors of a rich creamy avocado mango smoothie. You will need some simple ingredients and they are super easy to make.

Avodaco is a good source of fats. It contains a number of vitamins like A, C, D, E, K, B1 (Thiamine), B2 (Riboflavin), B3 (Niacin), B5 (Panthothenic acid), B6 (Pyridoxine), and B12. And what is best, compared to many other fruits, avocado has very little sugar. And the fruit is very (79% carb is fiber) fibrous as well.

In the same way, dates are good for your vegan kids as they boost potassium, magnesium, copper, iron, manganese, protein, fiber, vitamin B6 and some calories. Mango, apart from adding the delicious flavor kids love, will give 100% of daily vitamin C need alongside other nutrients.

Ingredients:

  • Avocado- 1 whole; ripe
  • Mango: 1 whole; ripe
  • Almond milk: ¼ cup
  • Fresh coconut milk: ¼ cup
  • Dates- Five to six, blended
  • Lemon juice: 1 teaspoon
  • Salt: a pinch
  • Maple syrup: 1 tablespoon/ if needed

Instructions:

  • Deseed the avocado and blend the flesh in a blender. Mix the almond milk and ½ tablespoon maple syrup. You can add some more if you like it very sweet.
  • The blend should be of thick consistency. Pour in glass only halfway through.
  • Deseed the mango. Blend the pulp in the same blender. Add the coconut milk and blend smooth. For this too, the blend should be thick in consistency.
  • Add a pinch of kosher salt and the teaspoon of lemon juice and stir.
  • In the meantime, you might blend the deseeded dates into a smooth paste. If your child loves bites in a smoothie, you may chop the dates well and soak them in water (if using dry) and add to the drink.
  • Now pour the mango blend over the avocado blend such that it fills the glass. The healthy and nutritious smoothie is ready. Serve chilled or in room temperature.
