Smoothies are a great way to start a hectic day. They are easy to gulp down, easy to digest and easy to make as well. All you need is a powerful blender or smoothie maker.

This particular smoothie is a great option for post work out sessions as well. Thanks to its main ingredient: Tender coconut flesh. Coconut flesh acts as the perfect base for a smoothie. The benefits of coconut water are always known. They have loads of minerals and vitamins.

Ingredients:

  • Fresh coconut water: 100ml
  • Tender coconut flesh: 1 cup
  • Blackberries: 1 cup
  • Lime juice: 1 tablespoon
  • Cashew nut: 3 to 4 soaked in water for a few hours
  • Chia seeds: 2 tablespoons; soaked for 15 minutes
  • Mint for garnishing

Instructions:

Blend all the ingredients into a blender and serve in a jar immediately. The cashew nut provides the extra nutty and creamy flavor. The tender coconut adds to the creaminess further, and the coconut water makes it runny to perfection. The lime juice balances them all. Serve with some chopped blackberries on top and garnish with whole or crushed mint leaves.
