How to Make a Veggie Platter
When I say to get colorful with our veggies on your platter, I mean that you’re going to have to think beyond the typical green and orange choices typically seen. Add in sliced red and yellow bell pepper, baby corn, black and green olives, sun-dried tomatoes, and purple cauliflower to brighten up your platter. Don’t shy away from adding in baked sweet potato either!
Add Multiple Dips
Typically reach (or for vegans, vegan ranch) is the only dip that comes on a veggie platter but that’s about to change. Add in multiple smaller servings of dips instead of one large bowl of the vegan ranch will bring your platter to the next level. Make a delicious tapenade, hummus, baba ghanoush, or vegan pesto dip to accompany the colorful veggies. Depending on what you’re serving, you could even get more daring by adding in a chunky salsa or filling guacamole.
Vegan Cheese, Please!
Vegan cheese makes everything better and that’s a well-known fact. Plant-based cheese is here to save the day and your party dish. With brands like Violife, Daiya, and Chao you can grab amazing flavors of vegan cheese that even omnivores are sure to love and enjoy. Cut the cheese into thin slices or into cubes to serve on your veggie platter. Don’t forget to add in your favorite healthy crackers or homemade pita bread to go along with everything else
