Amazing Crispy Pan-Fried Vegan Dumplings You Will Love
Ingredients
- Steamed dumplings: 6 pcs
- Baby corn: 2 pcs
- Red bell pepper: 1/4th cup; chopped
- Yellow bell pepper: 1/4th cup; chopped
- Onion– 1, extracted into flakes (optional)
- Ginger: 1 tablespoon; chopped
- Green chili: ¼ teaspoon; chopped
- Tomato ketchup: 1 ½ tablespoon
- Dark soy sauce: ½ tablespoon
- Brown sugar: 1 teaspoon
- Celery: 1/4th cup finely chopped
- Vinegar: 1 teaspoon
How to Prepare
This recipe is easy to prepare. Simply toss all ingredients into a deep pan, or ideally, a Chinese wok. Cook on high-flame and keep stirring the sauce constantly to prevent burning and bring out the traditional flavor.
- First, shallow fry or deep fry the vegan dumplings according to your preference. Set aside.
- Now place a tablespoon of olive oil in the pan and add the ginger. Immediately add chopped celery (reserve some for garnish). Stir until a strong aroma is released.
- Now add in the green chili, baby corn, red and yellow bell peppers and stir for 1.5 minutes.
- Add the vinegar and stir. It should smell amazing right now.
- Now add the tomato ketchup and soy sauce, stir well.
- Add the brown sugar and keep stirring the sauce for 30 seconds.
- Finally, add the fried dumplings into the sauce.
- Toss the product until the dumplings are well coated with sauce. Let sit for 1 minute. Serve hot.
The best part – the vegan dumplings are soft on the inside and crispy on the outside! The crispiness, paired with the slurry of the coated sauce, is the perfect balance of sweet & sour and an explosion of taste and flavors. You won’t be able to resist gobbling them up!
