Whether you prefer thinly cut sweet potato fries, curly garlic fries or plain traditional “chips,” French fries can be made to serve all palettes, even Gordon Ramsay’s! Fun fact, one of his first jobs ever was actually working in a chip (French fry) shop.

What could be more important than your style of fries when it comes to choosing this iconic side? The dipping sauce. There are many sauces that aren’t plant-based so why not make your own? With very short ingredient lists using items you may already have in your kitchen, you can make any of these sauces in a pinch. Seasoned Lime and Plant-based Mayo: Perfect for Sweet Potato Fries


  • 1/4 cup plant-based mayo of your choice (Just Mayo is my mayo of choice)
  • 1/4 of a lime
  • 1/2 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Optional:


  1. In a small dish, mix together all ingredients with a fork. Serve garnished with cilantro and with a lime wedge on the side.

Creamy Plant-Based Sriracha Jalapeño: Perfect for Seasoned Curly Fries


  • 1/4 cup plant-based mayo
  • 2 tsp sriracha
  • 1 whole pickled jalapeño, chopped into thin discs
  • Fresh cracked black pepper to taste


  1. Make sriracha mayo by combining together the vegan mayonnaise and sriracha in a small dish.
  2. Add on top of a plate of seasoned curly fries and top with sliced jalapeño and fresh cracked black pepper. Enjoy with your fingers or with a fork on the go.

Sweet BBQ Sauce Ketchup: Perfect for Traditional Steak Cut Fries


  • 1/4 cup of your favorite ketchup
  • 2 tsp vegan BBQ sauce
  • 1 1/4 tsp vegan dark brown sugar (such as Wholesome Sweeteners Fair Trade Organic Dark Brown Sugar)


  1. Combine all ingredients together in a small dish and mix well. Enjoy this mixture as a dipping sauce or generously drizzled on top of your plate of fries.
